Snyder, prominent resident of Rockwood, died in the Somerset Community Hospital at 7:45 a.m. Monday. Born Oct. 30, 1885, in Rockwood, she was a daughter of Michael and Amanda (Flick) Snyder, both deceased. She was united in marriage with J. D. Snyder, Rockwood businessman, Apr. 25, 1942. She was active in civic work, and was a lifelong member of St. Luke's Lutheran Church. She was a member of the Eastern Star, the DAR, and the Daughters of Rebekah, and served as secretary of the Royal Neighbors of America. She was a graduate of the school of business at Susquehanna University, Selinsgrove. Surviving are her husband and two sisters: Mrs. Mary A. Foulk, Jamaica, N.Y., and Mrs. Perry S. Walter, Rockwood. Funeral services were held at 3 p.m. Wednesday, in the church, with Rev. Hillis G. Berkley officiating. Burial in the Rockwood IOOF Cemetery under the direction of Mills & Mickey.
