  BESSIE E. SNYDER
  
    Mrs. Bessie E. Snyder, 85, of Bedford RD 2 and formerly of
  Stoystown RD 1, died May 4, 1978 in the Bedford County Memorial
  Hospital.  She was born Aug. 8, 1892 in Confluence, a daughter of
  James R. and Mary Osler Brown.
    She was preceded in death by parents; husband, Elmer H.; two
  brothers and two sisters.
    She is survived by these children: Mrs. Harold (Blanche Ferne)
  Wentz of Stoystown; Amos D. of Bedford; sister, Dorothy Evelyn of
  Mont Claire; also five grandsons and eight great-grandchildren.
    She was the sister of Robert of Confluence.
    She was a member of Horner Lutheran Church; former member Sixth
  Society of Farm Women; and Horner's Corner Ladies Club.
    Family received friends in Deaner Funeral Home, Stoystown.  Remains
  were removed to Horner Lutheran Church to lie in state until services
  were held with the Rev. William H. Snyder officiating.  Interment,
  Odd Fellows Cemetery, Stoystown.
