    Earl Jay Snyder, 50, Berlin RD 1, died April 9, 1996, at Meyersdale
  Medical Center.  Born Jan. 3, 1946, in Stonycreek Township, son of
  Merle J. and Elnora (Deeter) Snyder.  Preceded in death by parents
  and brother, Harold.  Survived by his wife of 31 years, the former
  Linda Onstead; sons: David, married to the former Renee Mitchell,
  Centerville; Dwight, married to the former Melissa Stayton, Jamul,
  Calif., and Dean, married to the former Janet Shaffer, Berlin RD 1;
  grandchildren: Cassandra Renee, Amber Kay, McKenna Nicole, Jenna
  Marie and Jacob David Snyder.  He was a brother of Glenda Uithoven,
  El Cajon, Calif.; Lois Cosner, La Mesa, Calif.; Frances Frazier,
  Berlin RD 1; Mary Lou Berkebile, Windber; Martha Flick, Friedens RD
  2, and Robert M., Central City RD 1.  Member of the International
  Union of Operating Engineers and a Stonycreek Township farmer. 
  Member of Unity United Church of Christ, where he served as an
  elder.  Family will receive friends from 7 n9 p.m. Thursday and 2-4
  and 7-9 p.m. Friday at Deaner Funeral Home, Berlin.  Viewing from 10
  a.m. until service at 11 a.m. Saturday at Unity U.C.C., with the Rev.
  Jay E. Shaffer officiating.  Interment, Glade Cemetery.  Memorial
  contributions may be given to Unity U. C. C. P.O. Box 132,
  Shanksville, PA 15560.
