    EDWIN D. SNYDER
  
    Edwin D. Snyder, 91, of Johnstown, died June 16, 1980, at Memorial
  Hospital.
    Born May 15, 1889, in Rockwood, he was a son of Andrew and Lucy
  (Phillipi) Snyder.  He was preceded in death by sister, Mrs. Florence
  Walters.
    He is survived by widow, former Maude Hechler, and children, Mrs.
  Mary Hill, Bethesda, Md., and Paul, Monroeville; also grandchildren,
  Lisa Hill and Shawn and a John Snyder.
    He was a member of Christ United Methodist Church where he taught
  Sunday school for many years; veteran of World War I; held B. S. and
  master's degrees from University of Pittsburgh, and taught in area
  high schools for 43 years.
    Friends were received at John Henderson Co. Funeral Home, where
  services were held, with the Rev. Ralph Solida officiating. 
  Interment, Rockwood Cemetery.
