    Elmer L. Snyder, 74, Somerset RD 1, died Sept. 18, 1996 at his
  home.  Born Jan. 21, 1922 in Somerset County, son of the late
  Clarence and Elizabeth (Ogline) Snyder.  Preceded in death by infant
  brother and infant son, Jay Luther Snyder.  Survived by wife, Pearle
  F. (Schrock); son, Wayne David, of Somerset RD 1; granddaughters,
  Kimberly Ann Fetterman, wife of Clifford Fetterman, wife of Clifford
  Fetterman, Johnstown, and Christine Snyder, Davidsville;
  great-granddaughter, Stephanie Persinsky; brother, Robert J. Snyder,
  Somerset RD 2; sister, Mrs. Roy (Alice) Gindlesperger, Somerset RD 2;
  and 6 nieces and nephews.  Death terminates a marriage union of 55
  years.  Retired from Walteris Tire Service.  Friends received from
  2-4 and 7-9 p.m. today at Robert H. Halverson Funeral Home, where
  service will be conducted at 2 p.m., Friday.  Rev. Roger Forry
  officiating.  Interment, Beulah Church Cemetery.  In lieu of flowers
  memorials may be given to Somerset Hospice, 651 South Center Ave.,
  Somerset.
