  John H. Snyder, 80, of Meadowbrook Terrace, Bedford, died May 22,
  1974, in Bedford County Memorial Hospital.  Born Aug. 1, 1893, in
  Shanksville.  Preceded in death by his parents, Samuel and Mary
  (Walker) Snyder, an infant son, Samuel and a sister, Mrs. Cara
  Holsopple.  Survived by his wife, Mary Mowry Snyder and a sister Mrs.
  Effie Ling of Listie.  He was a veteran of World War I, member of
  Trinity Lutheran Church, Bedford, and a past commander of Central
  City American Legion Post 449.  Friends will be received Friday
  (today) from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at the Paul Kolander Funeral
  Home, Bedford.  Services Saturday at 2 p.m. with the Rev. Richard
  Tome officiating.  Interment, Somerset County Memorial Park.
