His death, which came very suddenly and unexpectedly, was caused by a coronary embolism. Mr. Snyder was born at Mt. Savage, Md., and was a son of the late John and Mary Shultz Snyder, who were natives of Germany. He is survived by his wife, Annie Evora Sipple Snyder, and the following children: William R., Lawrence and Lester, of Meyersdale; Robert F., of Greenville Township; Mildred, at home; Mrs. Mary Bittner, of California, Pa., and Hazel Mankamyer of Larimer Township. He is also survived by one brother, Peter Snyder, of Eckhart Mines, Md. The funeral was held Monday, Aug. 19th, at St. Mark's Evangelical and Reformed Church, at Pocahontas, conducted by the pastor, Rev. J. E. Gindlesperger. Burial was in the Greenville Cemetery, near the Greenville Lutheran Church, under the direction of Stanley M. Thomas, mortician of Salisbury. Meyersdale Republican, August 22, 1940
