SNYDER Lawrence Anthony Snyder, 46, died Sunday morning at 10:30 o'clock at his home on Meyers Ave. The cause of his death was coronary occlusion. A son of John H. and Anna (Sipple) Snyder, he was born in Greenville Twp. on Apr. 1, 1898. He had been engaged in the mining business with a brother, William Snyder, and had been in failing health the past year. Surviving are his mother, his wife, Mrs. Margaret (Yutzy) Snyder; a daughter, Delores, at home, and three brothers and three sisters - William R., Meyersdale; Lester C., Kent, O.; Robert S., Greenville Twp.; Mildred, at home; Hazel, wife of Elmer McNamara, Cumberland, Md., and Mary, wife of Thomas Bittner, California, Pa. He was a member of Salisbury Lodge I.O.O.F., and was only recently installed as Noble Grand. Funeral services were conducted at 2:30 o'clock Wednesday afternoon at St. Mark's Evangelical and Reformed Church, Pocahontas, Rev. J. E. Gindlesperger, assisted by Rev. S. D. Sigler, officiated. Interment in the Greenville Cemetery under the direction of Stanley M. Thomas, Salisbury mortician. Meyersdale Republican, April 27, 1944
