Snyder, 85, of Rockwood RD 2, died Nov. 23, 1984, in the Somerset Community Hospital. He was born May 2, 1899, in Black Township, a son of David and Salome (Swarner) Snyder. Survived by his wife, Edna (Mosholder) Snyder of Rockwood RD 2; three sons: Harold of Rockwood; Lester of Somerset RD 1; and Lloyd Jr. of Rockwood RD 2; by these daughters: Mrs. Marie Gross, Somerset RD 1; Mrs. Cleda Brant, Saxonburg, Pa.; Mrs. Myrna Keyes, Franklin Furnace, Ohio; Mrs. Blanche Sanner, Meyersdale RD 1; Mrs. Elaine Brugh, Rockwood RD 1; Mrs. Nelda Fox, Rockwood RD 2; and Mrs. Shirley Shultz, Rockwood RD 3; 25 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by his first wife, the former Eva Edna Weimer, in 1937; by a son, Homer, in 1980; and one sister. His death terminates a marriage union of 41 years. He was a member of the Tri-County Horse and Mule Association. A member of St. Luke's Lutheran Church. He was a retired farmer of Black Township. Friends will be received in the William J. Wood Funeral Home, Rockwood, Monday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. where services will be conducted Tuesday at 1 p.m. with his pastor, the Rev. James Roth officiating. Interment, Rockwood I.O.O.F.
