Born May 6, 1898, in Meyersdale, the daughter of the late Charles Frederick and Anna (Poschman) Glessner. She was preceded in death by a brother, A.C. Glessner, Jan. 19, 1931 and a sister Elizabeth N. Glessner, April 29, 1974. She is survived by two sons: Barry J. Snyder, of Bedford, and Jack N. Snyder of Rockford, Ill., one grandson, Barry Timothy Snyder, of Bedford. Also three nephews: Albert C. Glessner, Warsaw, Va., Charles H. Glessner, Pittsburgh, and Fred S. Glessner, Wexford. She was employed by the Second National Bank of Meyersdale, for 16 years, as bookkeeper and teller, also employed by the First National Bank of Confluence for 5 years, before her marriage to E.T. Cecil Snyder, September 14, 1941. Mr. Snyder passed away November 20, 1973. She was a life long member of Amity United Church of Christ, and a member of the Choir since she was 12 years old. She was a soloist, and with her sister Elizabeth, sang duets at various functions, here and throughout the county. She was a member of Trinity Chapter 138, OES, Somerset; Forbes Road Chapter, DAR, Somerset; Past President of the Meyersdale Woman's Club; Past President of the Meyersdale Business & Professional Women's Club; Meyersdale Garden Club, and Hillcrest Grange, where she was a member of the Chorus. She was also a member of the Somerset County Historical & Genealogical Society. Funeral service will be held in William Rowe-Price Funeral Home, Inc., Meyersdale, with the Rev. Lloyd E.
