Snyder PO3-USN, 21, of Friedens RD 2, died April 21, 1995, in Stonycreek Township. Born Oct. 9, 1973, in Johnstown. Son of Milton R. and JoAnn (Leazier) Snyder of Friedens RD 2. Preceded in death by maternal grandparents, Homer and Alice Leazier; maternal step-grandmother, Blanche Leazier; and paternal grandfather, Calvin Snyder. Also survived by brother Jeffrey, at home, and sister Jody, married to James Berkebile of Fishertown; and paternal grandmother, Elsie Hadaba of Somerset. Member of Faith Lutheran Church. His hobbies were fishing, hunting and baseball. 1992 graduate of Shanksville-Stonycreek High School. Worked at Somerset Riverside. Presently serving aboard the carrier USS Dwight D. Eisenhower, CVN 69 out of Norfolk, Va., having just returned from a six-month cruise in the Mediterranean. Family will receive friends from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Sunday at Deaner Funeral Home, Stoystown. Service will be held at 11 a.m. Monday at Faith Lutheran Church, Route 31 east of Somerset. Rev. Lynn M. Sanner officiating. Interment Somerset County Memorial Park.
