  SNYDER
  
    Ray J. Snyder, 70, of 8266 Kingwood Road, Confluence, died Jan. 1,
  1999, at Somerset Hospital.  He was born May 18, 1928, in Rockwood, a
  son of the late Russell and Ethel (Whipkey) Snyder.  He is survived by
  aunts: Ruth Whipkey of Confluence; Mary Louise Wilson and Leora
  Berkheimer, both of Connellsville.  Also several cousins.  He was a
  U.S. Army veteran.  Friends will be received from 2 to 9 p.m. Sunday,
  at the Humbert Funeral Home in Confluence, where services will be
  held at 11 a.m. Monday, with the Rev. Thomas Zimmerman officiating.
  Interment, Rockwood IOOF Cemetery.
