    Ruby J. (Koontz) Snyder, 79, Boswell, died Feb. 6, 2006, at Somerset Hospital. Born
  March 29, 1926, in Latrobe, daughter of George and Mary (Byers) Koontz. Preceded in death
  by parents; husband, Woodrow W., Sept. 21, 1987; son, Robert L., Sept. 16, 2005; brothers,
  Richard, Eugene, Merle, Ernest and Samuel; and two infant sib-lings. Survived by son,
  Woodrow M., Dickerson Run; grandsons, Stephen, Jeffrey and Sean Snyder. Sister of George,
  Mount Pleasant; Shirley Kerr and friend, Bink, Normalville; Aaron and wife, Chae, Tampa,
  Fla.; Donald and wife, Tammy; Alva and wife, Maryann; and Mary Schomer, all of
  Connellsville; Jimmy, Clarksville; Clarence and Connie Basinger, both of Connellsville.
  Also survived by daughter-in-law, Marjorie Snyder, Jerome; sisters-in-law, Billie Koontz,
  Vanderbilt; Luella Koontz, Alberton; Marie, Boswell; and Shirley Wiley, Waterford; and
  numerous nieces and nephews. A longtime member of Laurel Hill Gospel Tabernacle, near
  Jennerstown, where she taught Bible school and Sunday school. She enjoyed cooking,
  gardening and reading her Bible. Having been the oldest of 17 children, she was a great
  inspiration to the entire family. Viewing from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the
  Hoffman Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Main Street, Boswell, where service will be
  held at 1 p.m. Thursday. The Rev. Gary W. Anderson officiating. Interment, Thomas
  Mennonite Cemetery. Memorial donations may be given to the Laurel Hill Gospel Tabernacle,
