"Ted" Snyder, 77, Hooversville, died Aug. 29, 1995, at Memorial Medical Center, Johnstown. Born May 3, 1918, in Hooversville, son of John L. and Ida (Boyts) Snyder. Preceded in death by parents and brother, Donald. Survived by wife of 52 years, the former Dorothy Potter, and daughter, Shelly, married to David Bock of Hooversville. Brother of John, Hooversville, and Bryce of Brownsburg, Ind., and beloved "special kids," Tyler, Elliott and Lucy Shaffer. Ted was owner and operator of Snyder's Restaurant, Hooversville. He was a World War II Army veteran and member of Hooversville VFW Post 7565, Travelers Protective Association, Somerset Lodge 358, F&A.M., Scottish Rite Club, Hooversville Volunteer Fire Department, Somerset County Tavern Association, Trinity Lutheran Church, Hooversville, and a charter member of Hooversville Lions Club. Family will receive friends from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Wednesday at Deaner Funeral Home, Hooversville. Viewing at Trinity Lutheran Church from 2 p.m. until time of service at 3 p.m. Thursday, Rev. Gerald L. Myers and Dr. Jaime Potter Miller. Interment, Somerset County Memorial Park. Memorial contributions may be given to Hooversville Rescue Squad or Trinity Lutheran Church, Hooversville.
