Born March 3, 1923, in Harrison (Quecreek), she is the daughter of the late Milton Beistel and Mae Kirschensteiner. She is preceded in death by her parents; first husband, Glenn Humbert, killed in World War II; second husband, Robert Snyder in 1995; daughter, Patricia Snyder; great-grandmother, Sarah Ann Humphries; an infant brother and sister; stepfather, Frank Kirschensteiner, and sisters, Rachel Christner, Idella Critchfield and Betty Maurer. She is survived by her children, Glenn Humbert Jr., Phoenix, Ariz., Robert Snyder, Milton Snyder and Nancy Saylor of Berlin and Mark Snyder, Somerset; 17 grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; three stepgrandchildren and five step great-grandchildren. She is a 1942 graduate of Somerset High School and was a life member of the VFW. She was a past president and district director of the FOE, and was a past chairperson and secretary of JDO Manufacturing in Cairnbrook, from which she was retired. She enjoyed playing bingo and making quilts. Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday and Wednesday at Miller Funeral Home, Somerset, where a service will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday.
