  Walter Baker Snyder, 81, Rockwood, died June 26, 2005, at his residence. Born
  March 1, 1924, in Black Township, a son of Adam Augustus and Christie Ferne
  (Walter) Snyder. Preceded in death by parents; brother, Robert Leroy Snyder;
  twin brother, Wilbur Zerfoss Snyder; infant brother, Lamar Snyder and sister,
  Esther Jean Knupp. Survived by wife, the former Anna Mae Swarner, to whom he
  was married 44 years. Brother of Mrs. Robert (Doris Lucille) Porter, Frostburg,
  Md., Mrs. Henry (Mary Francis) Greig, Somerset and numerous nieces and nephews.
  Attended Grace United Church of Christ in Garrett. He was a U.S. Army veteran
  of World War II. He also had worked as a coal miner and farmer earlier in life.
  Then worked as a truck driver for Interstate Trucking, retiring in 1982 with 25
  years of service. Friends received 6 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at the Hauger-Zeigler
  Funeral Home, where service will be conducted 1 p.m. Wednesday. The Rev. J.
  Richard Yates officiating. Interment, Rockwood I.O.O.F. Cemetery. Contributions
