  SNYDER
  
    Wilber Zearfoss Snyder, 75, of Snyder Road, Rockwood, died March
  23, 1999, at Memorial Medical Center in Johnstown.  Born March 1,
  1924, in Black Township, son of Adam and Christie (Walters) Snyder. 
  Preceded in death by parents; sister, Ester Jean Knupp; and infant
  brother Lamar.  Survived by wife of 51 years, the former Leora
  Johnson; sons, David (married to Kirsten Hanks) Snyder and Robert
  Snyder; and daughter, Rhonda (married to Gary) Miller, all of
  Rockwood.  Also grandchildren Christie and Daniel Miller; and Joshua,
  Adam and David Snyder.  Twin brother of Walter B. Snyder, Rockwood. 
  Brother of Robert Snyder, Somerset; Mrs. Robert (Doris) Porter,
  Frostburg, Md.; and Mrs. Henry (Mary Frances) Greig, Deep Creek,
  Md.  Veteran of the U.S. Navy in WWII where he served on the U.S.S.
  Ault and earned four Battle Stars: The Pacific Theater Ribbon; the
  American Theater Ribbon; the Victory Medal; and the Philippines
  Liberation Medal.  Member of Somerset VFW Post 554, the Rockwood
  Senior Citizens, and St. Luke's Lutheran Church, Rockwood.  He was a
  lifelong farmer and a retired truck driver.  Family will receive
  friends from 1-9 p.m., Wednesday at Miller Funeral Home, Rockwood
  where funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday.  Pastor
  Ardelle Mason officiating.  Interment Rockwood I.O.O.F. Cemetery.
