She was born on May 19, 1913 in Salisbury, a daughter of the late John and Reva Mae (Chandler) Harding. She moved from Salisbury to Erie 17 years ago and was a current resident of Sunrise at Presque Isle Bay. She was preceded in death by her husband, Dr. Alexander Solosko; her stepmother Anne (Boyer) Harding; and her sister and brother, Betty and James Harding. She is survived by her three children: Deborah Harmon, Erie; Dr. David Solosko, Pittsburgh; and Sonya Baum, Los Angeles, CA; Four grandchildren: Dr. Alexandra and Stephanie Solosko; and Jennifer and Michael Harmon. She attended Hood College where she studied music and Latin. In addition to being a full-time homemaker, she was active in many civic organizations. She served as president of the Salisbury School Board, the Somerset Medical Auxiliary, and the Somerset County Health and Welfare Committee. After moving to Erie, she continued volunteer work by serving on various committees at Springhill Senior Living. Private interment was held in Salisbury. Arrangements were under the care of the Burton Funeral Home and Crematory Inc. 602 West 10th Street. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her memory to Second Harvest Food Bank of NWPA, 1703 Ash Street, Erie, PA 16503, Alzheimer's Foundation 1128 State St. Suite 301 Erie, PA 16501, or the charity of the donor's choice.
