Born Nov. 17, 1930 in Grantsville, Md., she was a daughter of the late Allen and Alma (Miller) Maust. She was also preceded in death by three children, Shirley, Virgil and Eugene; a granddaughter, Heather Yoder, and two sisters, Rhoda and Mabel Maust. She is survived by her husband Eli E. Sommers; a son Leroy A. Sommers and wife E. Kathryn, McGaheysville, Va.; two daughters, Elsie M. Sommers, Tulsa, Okla.; Twila F. Yoder and husband, Ron, New Paris, Ind.; two brothers, Paul Maust, Grantsville, Jonas Maust, Holmesville, Ohio; three sisters, Barbara Barnhart, Dover, Del.; Miriam Kemp, Costa Rica; Martha Maust, Plain City, Ohio, and eight grandchildren. Member of Maple Glen Mennonite Church. Was a board member for Women Aglow in Somerset and was a homemaker. Friends will be received 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday and 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at Newman Funeral Homes, P.A., Grantsville, Md. Service will be conducted at 10 a.m. Thursday at Maple Glen Mennonite Church with the Rev. Robert Yoder and Rev. Philip Moser officiating.
