  SORBER
  
    Lorene Clarissa Sorber, 91, of Middletown and formerly of Friedens
  and Somerset died May 19, 1996 at Frey Village Retirement Center,
  Middletown.  Born July 19, 1904 in Brothersvalley Township, daughter
  of the late Calvin and Ida (Ringler) Hay.  Preceded in death by
  husband, Harry Lindley "Hap" Sorber; brothers John and Albert L. Hay;
  and sisters, Annie Hay, Ruth Weimer, Prudence Speicher, Marion Pifer
  and Leora Brant.  Survived by these children: Mrs. Carl L. (Rose Ann)
  Mease, Camp Hill and Lindley H. Sorber, married to the former Lois
  Hamilton, El Paso, Texas; four grandchildren and four great
  grandchildren.  Had attended both Shippensburg and Indiana Normal
  Schools and had been a teacher at the former Plank Road School. 
  Retired assistant activities director at Siemon Lakeview Manor
  Estate.  Member of Friedens Lutheran Church.  Friends will be
  received from 6:30 to 9 p.m., Tuesday at the Hauger-Zeigler Funeral
  Home where services will be conducted at 2 p.m., Wednesday, Rev.
  James R. Ling officiating.  Interment, Stoystown IOOF Cemetery.
