Born July 19, 1904 in Brothersvalley Township, daughter of the late Calvin and Ida (Ringler) Hay. Preceded in death by husband, Harry Lindley "Hap" Sorber; brothers John and Albert L. Hay; and sisters, Annie Hay, Ruth Weimer, Prudence Speicher, Marion Pifer and Leora Brant. Survived by these children: Mrs. Carl L. (Rose Ann) Mease, Camp Hill and Lindley H. Sorber, married to the former Lois Hamilton, El Paso, Texas; four grandchildren and four great grandchildren. Had attended both Shippensburg and Indiana Normal Schools and had been a teacher at the former Plank Road School. Retired assistant activities director at Siemon Lakeview Manor Estate. Member of Friedens Lutheran Church. Friends will be received from 6:30 to 9 p.m., Tuesday at the Hauger-Zeigler Funeral Home where services will be conducted at 2 p.m., Wednesday, Rev. James R. Ling officiating. Interment, Stoystown IOOF Cemetery.
