Sorber, 79, of Friedens RD 2, died Dec. 16, 1986, at West Penn Hospital, Pittsburgh. Born Oct. 8, 1907, in Johnstown, son of the late Clark and Lulu M. (Lambert) Sorber. Also preceded in death by his first wife, the former Mary Hertlein, and sister, Geraldine Horner. Survived by his wife, the former Mary Ellen Brant Mostoller; and these children: Mrs. Robert (Jacqueline) Campbell, Johnstown; Mrs. M.R. (Lou Ann) Harrington, Somerset; Sam L., and Wilson A., married to former Mary Ann James, both of Somerset RD 1; Mrs. Harry (Kay) Martin, Eighty Four; 11 grandchildren; and a great-granddaughter. Brother of Mrs. Charlotte Davidson and James Sorber, both of Johnstown. Former farmer, Farm Bureau employee and retired from R.L. Sorber and Sons. Member of Somerset Lodge F.&A.M., #358. Family will receive friends 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Thursday at Deaner Funeral Home, Stoystown, where service will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, the Rev. Roger L. Forry. Interment, Lambertsville Cemetery. Masonic services 7:30 p.m. Thursday. If friends desire, instead of flowers, contributions may be given to the Church of the Brethren Improvement Fund, 303 S. Center Ave., Somerset.
