(Mikey) 07/25/06 Daily American Michael F. "Mikey" Sotosky, 78, Windber, went to be with our Lord, July 23, 2006 at Memorial Medical Center, Johnstown. Born Sept. 13, 1927 in Hollsopple, son of Michael and Anna (Passuite) Sotosky. Preceded in death by parents, brothers, John and Frank Sotosky, and sister, Cecilia Hurst, nieces, Janie and Christine, and nephew, Mark. Survived by beloved wife of 43 years, JoAnn (Muscatello) Sotosky and these sons; Michael J. Sotosky married to the former Theresa Krassnoski, Davidsville; David A. Sotosky, Windber; and Joseph P. Sotosky at home. Granddaughters; Samantha E. and Kristina "Nina" Sotosky. Brother of Marie, wife of the late Robert Hostetler, Davidsville; Catherine "Kiki," wife of the late Richard Kohan, Hooversville; Theresa, wife of Michael Kolonich, Va.; and James "Jimmy" Sotosky and Dorothy Sotosky, Davidsville and numerous nieces and nephews. Michael was a veteran of the United States Army, retired employee of Penn Machine Co., Ferndale with 35 years of service. K of C Windber Council 4067 and Sons of Italy. His interest in "Jeopardy," Bill O'Reilly and football was overshadowed by his overwhelming love, pride and joy for his beloved granddaughters, "Sami" and "Nina." Mikey always put his family first and will be affectionately remembered for his overwhelming generosity, caring and faith in God along with the pride he had for all of his family. However, he will mostly be remembered for his jovial, happy and fun-loving demeanor toward all of those who knew and loved him. Friends received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at the William Kisiel Funeral Home, Windber where vigil for the deceased will be held. Member of Saint Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church, Windber where funeral Mass will be celebrated 10 a.m. Wednesday. The Rev. Leonard E. Voytek celebrant.
