Souders, 84, Arbutus Park Manor, died March 7, 1984, at the manor. He was born Aug. 16, 1899, in Mill Creek, Huntingdon County, son of the late William and Minnie (Goodman) Souders. Preceded in death by infant brother, Ernest, and sister, Ruth Maelhorn, he is survived by widow, former Edith M. Davies and daughter, LouAnna, wife of Stanley Harries Jr., Johnstown; also granddaughters, Janice, wife of Don Stoner, Meyersdale; Leslie, wife of Richard Worst, Pittsburgh; and Shari, Johnstown; and two great-grandchildren. Sister of Verna Callihan, DuBois. Member of First United Methodist Church; Cambria Lodge 278, F.& A.M.; Ancient Accepted Scottish Rite Valley, Williamsport; Jaffa Temple Shrine; Johnstown Shrine Club; and Tall Cedars of Lebanon 127; and life member of Good Cheer Club. Retired employee of metallurgical lab of Bethlehem Steel Corp. and was owner of Ralph B. Souders Insurance Agency, Windber. Visitation with family was at M. W. Powell Funeral Home, Golde Street, where services were held with the Rev. Robert Callihan and the Rev. Paul E. Inks officiating. Interment, Grandview Cemetery. Masonic service at funeral home.
