  Elsie L. Southern, 81, Somerset, died January 18, 1977 in Somerset
  Community Hospital.  She was born Feb 1, 1895 in Madera, Pa.  She was
  a daughter of Peter and Emily Reed Bloom.  Preceded in death by her
  husband Thomas, daughter Dorothy Marie, two brothers and five
  sisters.  Survived by these children, Mrs. Edgar (Elsie) Gearhart,
  St. Louis, Mo., Thomas William, Johnstown; Mildred, Somerset. 
  Grandchildren: John Gearhart, Sheridan, Arkansas; Carol Anderson, St.
  Louis, Mo.; One great grand-daughter, Anna Elizabeth Gearhart.  She
  was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, Somerset.  She
  was a 50 year member of Windber Chapter O. E. S. Wimodausis Rebecca
  Lodge, member and past noble grand of Rebecca Lodge.  Past president
  of American War Mothers.  Friends received after 7 p.m. Wednesday at
  the Richard E. Hauger Funeral Home.  Services Friday 1:30 p.m. with
  the Rev. Edwin Clapper and Vicar Robert Gago.  Interment, Richland
  Cemetery.
