  SOUTHERN
  
  Thomas W. Southern, 65, of Rear 631 Coleman Ave., Johnstown, died
  July 18, 1986, at home.  Born June 17, 1921, in Madera, Pa., son of
  Thomas and Elsie (Bloom) Southern.  Preceded in death by parents,
  wife Miriam (Johnson) and infant sister, Dorothy Marie.  Survived by
  sisters: Elsie, married to the Rev. Edgar W. Gerhart of Windber;
  Mildred J. of Somerset; nephew, John W. Gerhart, Hot Springs, Ark.;
  niece, Carol Anderson of St. Louis, Mo.  Retired Bethlehem Steel
  employee, U.S. Navy veteran of W.W. II.  Friends received 7-9 p.m.
  Saturday and 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Sunday at the John Henderson Company,
  Central Ave., Johnstown, where service will be held Monday, July 21,
  at 11 a.m. with the Rev. E. W. Gerhart officiating.  Interment,
  Richland Cemetery.
