Spangler, 68, of Markleysburg, formerly of New Centerville, died Jan. 27, 1993, at South Fayette Nursing Home. Born April 22, 1924, in Black Township. Daughter of the late George and Hattie (Nichols) Knopsnyder. Preceded in death by her husband, Earl Spangler; a sister, Blanche Baker; two brothers, Floyd and Glenn Knopsnyder, and an infant brother. Survived by two daughters, Mrs. Dennis (Ruby) Meyers of Acme, and Betty Boucher of Somerset, and two grandchildren. Sister of Blaine Knopsnyder of Rockwood; Ruben Knopsnyder of Markleton; Mrs. Dale (Catherine) Spangler and Fern Sterner, both of Rockwood. She was a member of the Church of God at Greenwood Heights, Connellsville, and the church's Ladies Auxiliary. Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday at the Clyde Brooks Funeral Home Inc., Route 711, Melcroft. Additional viewing will take place Saturday at the Messiah Lutheran Church, New Centerville, from 9 to 11 a.m., the hour of funeral services, with Rev. Evelyn Stillwagon officiating.
