Spangler, 64, Johnstown died Oct. 24, 2001 at her residence. Born May 28, 1937 in Stonycreek Township, daughter of the late Guy J. and Nellie G. (Kimmel) Long. Also preceded in death by sister Janet. Survived by: children, Gregory and wife Carol, State College, Michele married to Robert Albaugh, Johnstown, and Robert and wife Patty, Somerset; grandchildren, Daniel Spangler, Harrisburg, Jordan Albaugh, Johnstown, and Brooke and Ryan Spangler, both of Somerset. Also a brother David Long and wife Diann, Meyersdale, and sister, Thelma Long, Arendtsville. After graduating from the School of Surgical Technology, Charlotte was employed for 34 years at Conemaugh Memorial Hospital, retiring in 1998, as the O.R. Unit Manager. She was a member of Moxham Lutheran Church where she was a greeter and a member of the Altar Guild and finance committee, and also a member of the Association of Surgical Technologists serving as seven time president of the local chapter. Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday at Picking-Treece-Bennett Mortuary Inc., West Hills, 921 Menoher Blvd., Johnstown. Funeral Liturgy of Holy Communion will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at Moxham Lutheran Church, 500 Park Ave., Johnstown. Rev. Dr. Wilbert Boerstler officiating. Interment, Grandview Cemetery.
