  SPANGLER
  
  Donald Spangler, 71, Hickory St., Davidsville, died Oct. 31, 1978, in
  Memorial Hospital, Johnstown.  Born Sept. 24, 1907, in Johnstown.  He
  was the son of Joseph S. and Henrietta (Hoffman) Spangler.  Preceded
  in death by parents; brother, Robert; and sister, Emma Edwards. 
  Survived by wife, the former Elizabeth Kearns; one daughter, Jean,
  wife of Jack O'Donnell, Brownstown; and these three grandchildren:
  Donald, Matthew, Kristen.  Death breaks a marriage union of 42
  years.  Former retired employee of Rudy Haupt Chevrolet.  Family will
  receive friends from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Wednesday at the George E. Mason
  Funeral Home, Davidsville, where funeral services will be conducted at
  2 p.m. Thursday with the Rev. Stanley Freed.  Interment, Richland
  Cemetery.
