Spangler, 60, Rockwood RD 2, was DOA at Somerset Community Hospital, Jan. 13, 1981, as a result of a truck accident. Born Aug. 2, 1920, in Milford Township, a son of the late Harry M. and Ruth (Bridigum) Spangler. Also preceded in death by a brother, Guy M. Survived by his widow, the former Audrey Ellen Knopsnyder; two daughters, Betty, wife of Stephan Boucher, Rockwood RD 3; and Ruby R., Rockwood RD 2, and two grandchildren. Brother of Dale, John L., George H., and Clarence, all of Rockwood RD 2. Member of Connellsville Church of God, where he had served as church trustee, clerk, treasurer, and usher for 22 years. He had been in the trucking business since 1943, and was a veteran of World War II. Friends will be received after 7 p.m. Wednesday at the Richard E. Hauger Funeral Home, where service will be conducted Friday at 1:30 p.m. with Evelyn Stillwagon, minister, officiating. Interment, Union Cemetery, New Centerville.
