    Elaine Fay Spangler, 68, Somerset, died June 11, 2007, at Laurel Wood Care Center,
  Johnstown. Born Feb. 1, 1939, in Lincoln Township, the daughter of Clark E. Hoffman and
  Ruth E. (Baker) Queer. Preceded in death by father; grandparents, Charles and Lizzie
  (Weller) Baker. Survived by husband, Vernon L. Spangler, to whom she was married 47
  years; mother, of Somerset; daughter, Mrs. Chris (LuAnn) Beal, Somerset; and step
  granddaughter, Mrs. Corey (Crystal Dawn) Hetz, Meyersdale; brother and sisters, Ernest P.
  Hoffman, married to the former W. Jean Johnson, Mrs. Lawrence (Jeanne) Nemanic, and Mrs.
  Gregory (Linda) Shaffer, all of Somerset. Attended Somerset High School. A member of
  Somerset Alliance Church, also enjoyed reading and gardening. Friends received from 2 to
  4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at the Hauger-Zeigler Funeral Home, Somerset, where a service
  will be conducted 10 a.m. Thursday. The Rev. James E. Vandervort officiating. Interment
