Spangler, 90, of Patriot Manor passed away May 9, 2001 at the Manor. Born June 17, 1910 in Listie. Daughter of the late Samuel and Catherine (Berkey) Thomas. Preceded in death by husband Gilbert in 1985, son David, and great-grandson Dennis Moore Jr. Survived by: Children Hazel Moore of Somerset; Clifford, married to Margaret Louise Spangler of Listie, and Shirley married to Paul Welsh of Friedens. Also 10 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren, and a great-great-grandson. She was a member of Faith Lutheran Church and a charter member of the Listie Fire Department Ladies' Auxiliary. She was also a member of the Listie Homemakers and a past member of the Ladies' Aid Society of the Geiger Church of the Brethren. Former employee of Somerset Borough. Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday at Miller Funeral Home, Somerset, where a service will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday.
