"Tanker" Spangler, 93, Allegheny Lutheran Home, Johnstown, formerly of Shanksville, died Nov. 28, 1983, at Memorial Hospital, Johnstown. Born Feb. 17, 1890, in Stonycreek Township, a son of Charles and Mary (Baltzer) Spangler. Preceded in death by parents; his wife, the former Catherine Duppstadt; three sisters: Helen, Anna Forney and Alma Moose. He was a brother of Stewart and Mrs. Martin (Elsie) Kiehl, both of Friedens RD 2. Retired coal miner and farmer. Member of Shanksville United Methodist Church. Family will receive friends from 7-9 p.m. Tuesday and from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Wednesday at the Deaner Funeral Home, Stoystown, where services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, the Rev. Michael L.
