Born July 31, 1930, in Rockwood, the son of Harry Milton and Ruth Leora (Bridigum) Spangler. Preceded in death by parents, infant daughter, brothers Earl H. "Windy," Guy M. "Pappy" and John L. "Bud" Spangler. Survived by his wife, the former Mary Margaret Phillippi to whom he was married 50 years; children Linda Jane Spangler and Mark Allan Spangler both of Rockwood; brothers Dale B. "Bill" Spangler, Somerset and Clarence M. "Smokey" Spangler, Rockwood. Member of Messiah Lutheran Church, U.S. Army Veteran, retired with 53 years of service as self-employed milk hauler under contract with Fikes Dairy. Friends received from 6 to 9 p.m. Thursday at the Hauger-Zeigler Funeral Home, Somerset where a service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Friday. The Rev. William E. Osman officiating.
