Spangler, 62, Stoystown RD 3, died March 26, 1981, at Somerset Community Hospital. He was born May 15, 1918, in Rockwood, son of Harry Sr. and Mary (Bittner) Spangler. He was preceded in death by parents, and sister, Betty Stutzman. He is survived by widow, former Betty Lambert, whom he married June 1, 1947. Brother of Mrs. John (Julia) Schrock, Mrs. Jim (Ruth) Gnagey, Mrs. Anne Mostoller, Mrs. John (Florence) Stein, and Robert, all of Somerset; and Mrs. Merle (Mildred) Miller, Johnstown. He was the owner of Beaver Creek Inn, Stoystown; an Army Air Force veteran of World War II, member of Trinity Lutheran Church; Lodge 483 IOOF; and VFW, all of Somerset. Friends were received at Deaner Funeral Home, Stoystown, where services were conducted, the Rev. H. James Meyers officiating. Interment, Somerset County Memorial Park.
