Robert Spangler, 88, West Main Street, Somerset, died Nov. 26, 1993, in Maple Mountain Manor, Berlin. He was born July 11, 1905, in New Centerville, a son of the late Andrew and Edith "Sadie" (Snyder) Spangler. Preceded in death by his parents; infant twin sons, a brother, Snyder, and his wife, the former Eleanor Landis. Survived by one son, Lloyd W., married to the former Margaret Barron, Somerset RD 3; two grandsons, Eric Spangler, Somerset RD 3, and Thomas, Fairhope RD 1, and three great-grandsons - Joshua, Jake and Jed. He was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, Somerset. He was retired from the late Jack Moore's Heavy Equipment Company and equipment operator for Somerset Borough. Life member of Somerset Volunteer Fire Company. Friends will be received from 7 to 9 p.m. Saturday (today) in the Robert H. Halverson Funeral Home, where services will be conducted at 1:30 p.m. Sunday, Pastor Robert L. Hoover Jr. officiating. Interment, Somerset County Memorial Park.
