He slipped and fell several weeks ago, infection developing from a scratch on his leg. He submitted to blood transfusions on April 30 and May 9. Surviving are his wife and four married daughters, Mrs. Harvey Sarver, of Shanksville; Mrs. Irvin Trent, of Listie; Mrs. Samuel J. Spangler, of Somerset, and Mrs. Leroy Foust, of Dividing Ridge. He was a brother of Mrs. Jerry Custer, of Central City; Mrs. Robert Zerfoss, of Geiger; Mrs. Albert Weigle, of Listie; Mrs. John Sheeler, of Lewistown, and Martin L. Spangler, of Hyasota. Funeral services were conducted Thursday afternoon at 2 o'clock in the Church of the Brethren at Brotherton, by Rev. Q. A. Rhoades and Rev. Knepper. Interment in the church cemetery, in charge of Undertaker Walter S. Hoffman. Meyersdale Republican, May 19, 1932
