Main St., Somerset, formerly of Stonycreek Township, died Feb. 11, 1986, at home. Born July 26, 1913, in Confluence, she was a daughter of George and Anna (Keller) Malenich. Preceded in death by parents; husbands, Herbert Anderson and Leroy Spangler; and brothers, George, Nick, and Stephen. Survived by these children, Mrs. Paul (Barbara) Hackett, Cortland, NY; Thomas J. Anderson, married to the former Betty Flamm, Somerset; four grandsons; and these step-children, Mrs. Kenneth (Ruth) Saylor, Rockwood RD 2; Ray, married to the former Gladys Miller, Friedens RD 2; Mrs. Marshall (Dorothy) Urban, Friedends RD 1; and James C., married to the former Sally Hoffman, Somerset. Sister of Mrs. Michael (Leona) Liback, and Mrs. Michael (Elizabeth) Playchon, both of Garfield, NJ; and John, Passiac, NJ. Member of St. Mark Lutheran Church, Shanksville. Family will receive friends from 2-4 and 7-9 pm Thursday at Deaner Funeral Home, Stoystown, where service will be held at 2 pm Friday, the Rev. Patricia H. Ramsey officiating. Interment, Somerset County Memorial Park. If friends desire instead of flowers, contributions may be made to St. Mark Lutheran Church, Shanksville, in Mary's memory.
