  SPANGLER
  
    Merle E. Spangler, 53, of Rockwood RD 2, died Dec. 28, 1989 in the
  Somerset Hospital.  Born April 12, 1936 in Milford Township, son of
  the late Guy McClelland and Clella Viola (Glessner) Spangler.  Also
  preceded by a brother, Guy Jr.; a sister, Ruth Ann; and an infant
  sister.  Brother of Shirley N. Spangler and Donald E. Spangler, both
  of Rockwood RD 2.  An employee of Dolan Chevrolet for 33 years. 
  Member of Messiah Lutheran Church.  Secretary of the Union-New
  Centerville Cemetery and was secretary for 30 years of the New
  Centerville Volunteer and Rural Fire Company.  An avid bowler, he had
  bowled with many Somerset area teams and leagues.  Friends received
  7-9 p.m. today and 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Sunday at the Hauger-Zeigler
  Funeral Home.  Service will be held at 2:30 p.m. Monday in the
  Messiah Lutheran Church, New Centerville with the Rev. Roger Steinger
  officiating.  Interment, Union-New Centerville Cemetery.  Body will
  lie in state at the church from 1:30 p.m. until the time of
  service.  Fire department service 8 p.m. today in the funeral home.
