Spangler, 93, of Somerset, died Dec. 31, 1983, at Hershey Medical Center from injuries received in automobile accident. Born Dec. 25, 1890, Jenner Township, daughter of George Brinton and Margaret (Airesman) Coleman. Preceded in death by parents; husband, Claude S., who died in 1961; son, Luther; who died in 1982; infant daughter, Margaret; sister, Evelyn Hetzer; and step-mother, Margaret Mulhollen Coleman. Survived by these children: Mrs. Evelyn Gibson and Mrs. Edward (Mary) Boyd, both of Stoystown RD 3; Vernon M. married to Lois Speicher, Harrisburg; Mrs. John R. (Rosalie) Walker and Mrs. William M. (Lois) Miller, both of Somerset; daughter-in-law, former Agnes Gahagen, St. Petersburg, Fla.; 17 grandchildren; 40 great grandchildren; seven great great-grandchildren. Sister of Eugene Coleman, Apache Junction, Ariz. Member of St. Mark Lutheran Church, Shanksville; LCW; and Fellowship Class of Trinity Lutheran Church, Somerset. She was a charter member of the Fourth Society of Farm Women. Family will receive friends from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Tuesday at Deaner Funeral Home, Stoystown. Services will be conducted at St. Mark Lutheran Church, Shanksville, at 11 a.m. Wednesday, the Rev. Patricia Harrington. Interment, Lambertsville Cemetery. No viewing at the church.
