  SPANGLER
  
    Peter J. Spangler, 81, of Rt. 5, Bedford, died suddenly Saturday
  evening, Aug. 22, 1987 at Memorial Hospital of Bedford County.  Born
  June 17, 1906 at Johnstown, the son of Newton O. and Lottie
  (Hillegass) Spangler.  Survived by his wife, Irma (Kimmel) Spangler
  and one son, Jerry of Tyrone.  Also survived by a daughter-in-law,
  Mrs. Dixie Spangler of Pittsburgh; five grandchildren; three great
  grandchildren; and two sisters, Mrs. Alice (Foy) Spangler, Bedford;
  and Mrs. Marian Heinemeyer, Winter Haven, Fla.  Preceded in death by
  his parents; a son, James; and a brother, Donald.  Friends will be
  received at the Louis Geisel Funeral Home, Inc., Bedford, 7-9 p.m.
  Monday.  Funeral Service will be held at St. John's United Church of
  Christ, Bedford, Tuesday, 11 a.m. with the Rev. Roger Stine
  officiating.  Body will be removed to the church at 10:30 a.m. where
  friends will be received.  There will be no viewing at the church. 
  Interment, Bedford Cemetery Mausoleum.  In lieu of flowers, donations
  may be made to St. John's United Church of Christ or the Heart Fund.
