Spangler, 73, of Cleveland, Ohio, died May 23, 1987, St. John's Hospital, Cleveland. Born Oct. 6, 1913, in Stoystown, a son of Gary and Clarabelle (Wagner) Spangler. Also preceded in death by sons, Kenneth and J. Earl; grandson, Timmy Spangler; brothers, Lewis, Clyde, Thomas and William; sisters, Elsie Berry and Ada Burdette. Survived by his wife, the former Louise Durst; these children: Robert D. of Tionesta, Pa.; James, Mrs. Harry (Alice ) Gerhardt, Fred, John and Miss Betty, all of Cleveland, Ohio; Mrs. Edward (Helen) Kaszynski, Burnswick, Ohio; 17 grandchildren; nine great grandchildren. Brother of: Mrs. Robert (Helen) Naugle, Hollsopple; Mrs. Mary Alice Bennett, Clarksburg, W. Va.; and Lloyd of Stoystown. Member of First Christian Church, Somerset. Retired from Ford Motor Company in Brook Park, Ohio. Friends were received Monday in the Hauger-Zeigler Funeral Home where services will be conducted at 1 p.m. Tuesday, with the Rev. Harry C.
