(Barby) Spear, 20, of Friendsville, Md. was dead on arrival Sunday at Garrett Memorial Hospital. She had been in ill health for the past two years. She was born in Meyersdale, and was a daughter of Emerson Fike and Frances (Silbaugh) Fike, Friendsville. Besides her parents, she is survived by her husband, Terry E. Spear, a son, Jeffrey Spear, a daughter, Jennifer Spear, both at home, three brothers, Lynn A. Fike, Cleveland, Kenneth W. Fike and Daniel Fike, both of Friendsville. She is also survived by Mrs. Jolene Dixon, Mrs. Kathy K. Kahl, Friendsville, and Mrs. Nancy Kitzmiller. She was a member of the auxiliary unit of Friendsville Volunteer Fire Company, and the Friendsville Elementary School PTA. Friends were received at the Newman Funeral Home. A service was conducted at the Friendsville United Methodist Church by the Rev. Paul Fike and the Rev. Edward Myers. Interment will be in Steele Cemetery. The Republic, June 17, 1982 [S2527]
