Speicher, 84, of Somerset RD 1, died Feb. 9, 1982, at Altoona Veterans Hospital. He was born April 10, 1897, in Lincoln Township, son of the late Morris W. and Cora (Hemminger) Speicher. He was preceded in death by his wife, the former Edna Snyder, in 1974; one brother, James; two sisters, Mary Sanner and Leora Menhorn; an infant son; two grandsons; and one great-granddaughter. He is survived by two daughters: Mrs. William (Dorothy) Stahl of Somerset and Mrs. Clair (Mary Jane) Reiman of Berlin RD 1; four grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. He was a brother of: Mrs. Hazel Hay, Rockwood RD 3; George Speicher of Greensburg; and Mrs. Blanche Crytzer, Homestead, Fla.; Mrs. Gladys Burns of Somerset; R. Dale Speicher of Meyersdale. He was a retired farmer; former Milford Township Republican Committeeman; World War I veteran; life member of the American Legion, Somerset; member of Barracks No. 3128 World War I Veterans of Somerset County, Kingwood I.O.O.F. Lodge and F.O.E., Somerset. Friends were received at the Wilbur D. Miller Funeral Home, where funeral services were conducted with the Rev. Herbert Schimpf officiating. Interment, Rockwood I.O.O.F.
