Speicher, 83, of Bellevue, died Aug. 23, 1983, at Pineview Manor Nursing Home, Wexford. Born June 24, 1900, in Sipesville, son of Ephriam and Anna Speicher. Survived by widow, former Marian (Schrock); three sons, Gerald, of Indiana, Pa.; Donald, of Ross Township, (Pittsburgh); Robert, of McCandless Township, (Pittsburgh); 8 grand-daughters; 3 great-grandchildren, and a sister, Margaret Barnhart, of Palmyra, Pa. Retired purchasing agent for Pittsburgh Steel Co., where he was employed for 20 years, retiring in 1965. Lived in Bellevue for 32 years. A former director of North Boroughs YMCA. Served as president of Senior Men's Club of North Boroughs YMCA in Bellevue. Member of Unity Center of Pittsburgh. Active in various Masonic organizations in Allegheny County, Pittsburgh Commandery No. 1, Knights Templar; Washington Lodge No. 253, Syria Temple AAONMS; and most recently Avalon Lodge No. 657 F & AM. Friends will be received at the Wilbur D. Miller Funeral Home, Thursday, 9 a.m. to 11 a.m., followed by a memorial service, the Rev. John W. Tomlinson officiating. Interment, Somerset County Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, family requests memorial contributions be sent to North Boroughs YMCA, 629 Lincoln Ave., Bellevue, Pa., 15202.
