    John Jacob Speicher Jr., 78, Mascoutah, Ill., formerly of Somerset, died Aug. 13, 2007,
  at Mar Ka Nursing Home. Born July 25, 1929, in Somerset, the son of John Jacob Sr. and
  Marie Lois (Weller) Speicher. Preceded in death by parents; wife, the former Betty Ann
  Miller, who died March 24, 2004; sister, Martha I. Speicher. Survived by children,
  Michael L. Speicher and wife, Patricia, Saint Charles, Mo.; Ms. Marjorie A. Dellinger,
  Lake Tahoe, Calif.; Mrs. David (Audrey M.) Padmos, Vacaville, Calif.; Mrs. Peter (Joyce
  C.) Thomas, Pensacola, Fla.; David J. Speicher and wife, Jeri, Mascoutah, Ill.; 15
  grandchildren, five great-grandchildren; and brother, Fred Speicher, Hershey. A 1947
  graduate of Somerset High School, retired in 1977 as a master sergeant for the U.S. Air
  Force, serving in Vietnam. He later worked as an auto parts manager for Hunts Truck
  Sales. Also a member of First United Methodist Church, Somerset. Friends received from 2
  to 5 p.m. Friday at the Hauger-Zeigler Funeral Home, Somerset, where a service will be
  held 10 a.m. Saturday. The Rev. Daniel F. Nicksich officiating. Interment Husband
  Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be given to USO or the Disabled American Veterans.
