  SPEICHER
  
    John L. Speicher, 49, of Schellsburg RD 1, died Jan. 8, 1978 at his
  residence.  Born May 3, 1928, in Somerset County, son of the late
  Irvin and Martha J. (Felten) Speicher.  Survived by wife, the former
  Ruth Nunamaker; and these children:  John E. of New Paris RD; Irvin
  E. of Imler RD; Fred Allen, at home; Edith, wife of Thomas Latshaw of
  New Paris; Donald, New Paris RD 1; Beverly Ann of Friedens RD 1; Henry
  J., at home; and two grandchildren.  Brother of Mrs. Pearle Martin of
  Berlin RD 3; and Ernest of Schellsburg RD.  He was a former carpenter
  of Price and Co. of Alum Bank.  Member of St. Mark's United Church of
  Christ, New Buena Vista.  Friends received Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 7
  to 9 p.m. at the Mickle - Geisel Funeral Home, Schellsburg, where
  funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday with the Rev.
  Charles T. Bockhouse.  Interment, Schellsburg Cemetery.
