She was born Aug.5, 1924, in Garrett, a daughter of the late George and Mary (Heining) Gray. She is preceded in death by her husband Howard Speicher, sister Nora Shaffer, niece Mary Shaffer and great nephew Danny Shaffer. She is survived by niece Elnora Shaffer and nephew Earl Shaffer, both of Meyersdale. She is also survived by several great nieces and nephews, great-great nieces and nephews, numerous cousins and special friend, Sonny Herring. She was an active member in the community, volunteering her time at Meyersdale Manor and the library. She attended Meyersdale Church of the Brethren. Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday and from 10 a.m. to noon Saturday at the M. Ray Leckemby Funeral Home, where a funeral service will be held 2 p.m. The Rev. She was born August 5, 1924, in Garrett, a daughter of the late George Gray and Mary (Heining) Gray. She was preceded in death by her husband Howard Speicher; sister, Nora Shaffer; niece, Mary Shaffer; and great-nephew, Danny Shaffer. She is survived by niece Elnora Shaffer and nephew Earl Shaffer, both of Meyersdale. Friends were received 2-4 and 7-9 Wednesday at the Price Funeral Home, Meyersdale, where service was conducted at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, with the Rev. Randy Haulk officiating.
