  SPEICHER
  
  Mrs. Martha J. Speicher, 83, Shellsburg RD, died Feb. 8, 1977 in
  Somerset Community Hospital.  Born Jan. 4, 1894 in New Baltimore, a
  daughter of the late George and Harriet Hoppert Felten.  Preceded in
  death by her husband, Irvin and eight sisters.  Survived by these
  children:  Pearle, wife of Cyril Martin of Berlin RD 3; Ernest,
  married to the former Evelyn Roudabush of Shellsburg RD; and John,
  married to the former Ruth Nunemaker of Shellsburg RD; 19
  grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.  Sister of Mrs. Mary
  Ford of Oakland, Md.; and Mrs. Nora Felten of Berlin RD 3.  She was a
  lifetime member and, at the time of her death, was the oldest member
  of the Evangelical Lutheran Church, Glen Savage.  Friends received
  from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at Mickle - Geisel Funeral
  Home, Shellsburg, where services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday
  with the Rev. August Kreutz officiating.  Interment, Shellsburg
  Cemetery.
