Speigel, Jacob

Jacob Speigel died Friday morning at his home in Jenner Township, aged 81 years. 
He was born in Friedens in 1833 and spent all of his life in this county. He was 
a farmer of progressive ideas and kept at his work until less than two years ago 
when he sold his farm to his son-in-law, R. F. Hammer. He leaves a widow who was 
Miss Mary Saylor, two daughters - Mrs. R. F. Hammer and Mrs. James Thomas both 
of Jennertown; one son, 17 grandchildren and four great grandchildren. Burial 
Sunday in St. James Cemetery.
