  SPENCE
  
    Ralph R. Spence, 81, of Cape Porpoise, Maine, formerly of
  Meyersdale, died Dec. 16, 1986 in Biddeford, Maine.  Born March 21,
  1905 in Meyersdale, a son of the late David and Sadie (Swearman)
  Spence.  Survived by wife, the former Caroline Parison; a son, David
  of Clifton Heights, Pa.; and two stepsons: Robert Stone of
  Bridgewater, Mass.; and John Stone of Colorado; three
  grandchildren.  A brother of Bernice Weimer of Meyersdale and Mrs.
  Marguerite Austin of Oakland., Md.  Graduate of University of
  Pittsburgh School of Pharmacy in 1929.  Employed by Abbot
  Laboratories from 1936 to 1961 as a sales manager in the Delaware
  Valley, Pa.  Served as a consultant for Pennsylvania Department of
  Health and served on the board for Pennsylvania Department of State
  Licensure and Examination for Pharmacists.  Member of Meyersdale
  Lodge 554, F.&A.M., and Shrine Club.  Service will be conducted at 11
  a.m. Saturday at the Price Funeral Home, Meyersdale, the Rev. Lloyd
  Wilson officiating.  Interment, Union Cemetery.
